Hey BTB — need some advice. (I read the FAQ and it says do what you do. I guess this is more about the mental game)
TC post-tax: $310k+
Yield from DeFi: $158k-$218k (vlAURA, vlCVX, etc)
NW: $2.38m
Allocation: 47% Alts (PENDLE, ENS, AURA, ENA), 25% ETH, 12% Cash, 10% Seed rounds
The 25% ETH I was using for low lev margin to increase ETH exposure but have just reduced it to cash.
Just a few weeks ago my NW was probably like $4.2m+ all in. Got rugged on NMT and was in a messy bunch of alts when the market puked 25-30%. Oh yes and tax season.
Even though I'm up massively from where I started, I feel like a boomer that can't navigate the current market. 2023 was great but 2024 basically underperformed BTC.
Feeling like I no longer know how to manage this money well even though I got to this point. Maybe bad self talk from taking a big L recently?
Thinking of the following options: A) Offramp a chunk of the portfolio to add to IRL cash, stupid I know but mental peace, B) Turn the portfolio into mostly ETH, 20-30% alts, and just chill. C) Keep current allocations and just pick myself up and get more motivated/positive.
appreciate your time BTB.
