I think the key takeaway from Matt’s article is that the jurors restored trust in the judicial system. Perhaps this is the first step to get the citizenry out of the sense of helplessness it’s been mired in since the lockdowns. This is a huge win for America.

Boom! Way to go Epic and America’s trial by jury system. We still have common sense! Thanks Matt.

AI Is Transforming Media Before Our Eyes (& Accelerating Cable's Demise)

Netflix, Apple & Amazon’s Tech DNA Give Them The Early AI Advantage Amongst Streamers
As formerly (thankfully!) striking writers justifiably emphasized, AI is transforming Hollywood. It already has. The major streaming services have long used artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance overall viewing experiences, accelerating cord cutting – and fundamentally transforming Hollywood economics - in the …

This time I don't buy your argument: according to last week FT, "Apple is a Chinese company". And it happens that it is the largest company in S&P 500: how can you say that deglobalization would benefit Apple? Mean reversion still rules!

Thanks Russell. Welcome back from your travels. I used to have a lot of fun with the Apple corporate finance and valuation questions. Leo's Letter // - Becoming Real

Trying to make profits, finance to fashion, and life lessons
Hey, it’s great to have you. My first week back in NYC has been crazy in a good way - I feel alive. The pro’s of getting to catch up with people, motivational atmosphere, and convenience more then make up for living near Times Square as a light sleeper

#9: In These Moments

Taking small steps, learning about big moves, and experiencing
Hey there! Thanks for opening this up. After spending a few days with my family in New Jersey over July 4th weekend, it’s good to be back in action; however, I’d prefer not to have things go from zero to one hundred during these context switches - relaxing and not doing much while off and grinding like crazy while on.

#3: Getting the hang of this

A host of important issues, both thinking and acting
Hey there! Thanks for opening this up. No writing from me this time, just curation, but also a bit of tidying up - when you have stuff (notes, writing, social media posts) all over the place, things get lost. The newsletter here is then a way to document what I care about, hence the subtitle of this issue. Did a bit more analysis this time around, sort o…

Yo why did I get that tattoo?

Old tattoos remind me of the euphoria just out of reach
11/3 Daily Comic I often wake up after a night of drinking and try to go back and piece together the hazy bits of information I’ve retained into a coherent narrative. I smile and shake my head, wondering why in the hell I’d said X to person Y or jumped on surface Z while screaming ASDSGDF123FDS.

Who's for real?

With the last undefeated team in the NFL falling on Monday, I look at who's legit and who's not heading into the playoff stretch.
Some of you have been dying for Pittsburgh Steelers content (okay really just one of you) but I didn’t feel the need to write about them. Until now. The Steelers took on the Washington Football Team on Monday afternoon in a game that was postponed because of the Steelers-Ravens game postponement the week before. Pittsburgh entered Monday’s game 11-0 whi…

Assembling Talent > Everything Else

How does Eriksen fit at Manchester United?

There is no doubting Christian Eriksen's credentials, but questions have been asked about how United might best utilise his impressive skillset best.
In the summer of 2019, Manchester United were linked with moves for two midfielders to fill the void that the team, much like the UK government, had at number 10. It would’ve seemed just as impossibl…

Go Forward!

The human spirit is not designed to stay in one place for so long or live with a particular kind of experience for a long time. We get bored. We get tired. We want new experiences. We want progress.
There is this toy that our twin boys have at home. When we first get it, they will fight over it. One will not want to leave it for the other. We often have to intervene for peace to reign. But I noticed with time that the toy that was once the reason for contention no longer holds their attention. They got bored with it. Children need to be constantly s…

Deprivation Begets Desire
