If only the men in the Epstein files were accused of non violent academic plagiarism and embellishing stories! Then we may have done something about them. But they were just white cannibal pedophiles so we moved on from all that pretty quick.

I've spoken to more than one dozen service members on board the USS Abraham Lincoln and other aircraft carriers in the Middle East.

I've seen prison inmates receiving better meals than some of the food served on these ships. All the while, the President is gaslighting families.

It’s true. I change my prose style—sometimes in extreme ways—depending on the subject, the context and the audience. I think that makes everything more interesting, both for the writer and the reader.

Reading Ted Gioia’s The History of Jazz, I’ve been shocked at how different it sounds from a typical Honest Broker post—just as sharp, but more scholarly, fancier sentences, etc.

I like both styles, don’t get me wrong. It’s a welcome reminder that good writers adapt to their audience and medium.

Meanwhile, I’m still posting poems on Instagram 😭
