There are not enough Dem voters who care about, say, Whitmer or Pritzker to win one state. Gavin’s busy in California. Harris is already on the ticket.

Read the debate transcript. Biden gave facts, figures, delineated what he’d gotten done, what the challenges are; but when you’re ill, have laryngitis and the stutter kicks in, it’s hard to be impressive.

Biden spoke in full sentences. He did not rave about Putin’s “I have a dream” speech, etc. He was truthful and responsive.

The media have roasted Biden ever since. He’s just not entertaining, and he looked feeble. Meanwhile he’s gotten done more than any president in my lifetime. I no longer trust the press. It’s poured on “someone told someone who shall remain nameless” tales until one could spit.

We have to stop drinking their bile. And consider that four months before an election no one, no one can elbow out a president who’s won the primaries, and expect to win an election.

We have been well and truly played. Time to get real.
