The ACLU is nothing but a TRA dumpster fire at this point. FIRE (thefire point org) would be a worthy recipient for any regular donations once directed to the ACLU.

ETA: Just to illustrate how absurdly far the ACLU has strayed from its chartered purpose—This is a direct quote from Chase Strangio: "I am a civil rights and constitutional lawyer who fundamentally doesn't believe in the Constitution and the legal system." (source: nbcnews.com/think/opini…) Bear in mind that the SOLE chartered purpose of the ACLU is to protect Constitutionally guaranteed legal rights—so the appointment of Strangio cannot be taken as anything other than a step to turn the ACLU against its original purpose, like the arsonist firemen in Fahrenheit 451.
