You seem to be a smart fellow or at least think that you are. You must have heard of Kant's categorical imperative, so my advice to you, lest you be guilty of hypocrisy, is to lead the way to this brave new world that you propose by shutting off all your lights, shut off your computer, stop posting on the internet, grow all your own food, and sterilize yourself and any children that you might have to avoid the possibility of accidental procreation.
