They’re people but they’re not us. They’re relict hominids. They are H.s.neandertalis and we are H.s.sapiens. As far as I’m concerned we’re different. We’re both hominids though. Next you’ll tell me that those monkey-faced Lucys were humans like us.

They are people in a sense though. Really, really weird people, but they’re people.
