Seems the situation isn't clear, but that goes both ways.

I have yet to have a LFT come up positive, and I've never taken a PCR test. I've never been particularly symptomatic either, but that's increasingly common since Omicron, and the tests seem more likely to miss the latest variants anyway, irrespective of the issues you raise.

Seems it'd be wise to have early treatment supplies on hand and apply them at first symptoms. At the same time, it's my understanding that "Long COVID" is a lot less common following infection with Omicron. So maybe the early treatment is primarily about reducing direct respiratory misery.

Nobody has to die from this thing.
