sometimes i wonder how many versions of myself i’ve outgrown without even noticing. i look back at old photos and remember the thoughts i used to carry, the dreams i thought would save me. it’s strange how you can live inside yourself every day and still not realize you’re evolving. it’s only when you look back that you realize how far you’ve come, how many lives you’ve already lived in the same skin.

a reminder, especially for us substack writers
I worked with Xerox 820-2's, KayPros and a host of other early desktop computers when I was with an early word-processing software company. You've never heard of it, never fear. Yes. I remember 8-1/2 and smaller removable disks (aka "media).
I was trying to remember if there were larger “floppy” disks and you helped remind me…thanks, Clarke. Curious which of the word-processing companies you worked for. One of my earliest memories was attending a computer convention with my dad and, if memory serves, typing on a computer at the Red Fox (?) booth. I think that was the name of it. Way before Word or WordPerfect. :-p
