Really enjoying writing supervision with o3-mini reasoning model. It’s good enough at the writing, I’m both comfortable and happy delegating to it. It’s making me realize that for certain kinds of writing, I mainly enjoy the visioning/structuring challenge, not the actual writing. Sometimes the actual writing is the creative challenge, but for more functional, business-like writing, 90% of the creative challenge is in frames, naming things, acronyms, structuring sections, blending metaphor/allegory with literal etc. The writing is high-scannability, so even the joke of using AIs to generate on one end and summarize on the other feels silly. This is also a vast improvement over supervising uncreative humans of the LinkedIn type to write functional things. They typically lack the artistic and metaphoric imagination to do the right-brained half of the thinking that needs to go in.

So the funny thing is, I think LinkedIn people who on paper are the best target market for this tech, including the $200 deep research tool, would actually be very bad, since they lack the imagination to use it.
