Rex, That was a lot of words my friend. I'd agree that you've got a handle on a lot of the symptoms that are apparent, but I'm thinking that your ignoring the largest driver of all those problems / symptoms you enumerate. The largest problem is the 'money' that enables and underlies all else; the lesson shared by HCR from friend - her other mother ; "Follow the money, always follow the money." That jumped out at me as I read this because I learned that lesson too from one of the wisest of my mothers. It rather stood out for me in 'this space' because I've often cited it on record here, and reading HCR unwind this tale, it caused me smile a bit as I wondered "How many times have I said that here, and now, I wonder how many times have I made HCR smile to herself when I stated it." Rex, it is indeed foundational.
