I'm sorry, I have to interject something here. I can be highly critical when it's warranted, and when I praise something, it's because it's well deserved. This is an exceptional book, with a novel and important angle, that does a superb job of assembling relevant information.

My state representative is a ***very*** bright woman in her first term, who won a majority of votes over five opponents to gain her position. She had never responded positively to my emails on immigration until I emailed her a summary of what's in this book. She wrote back, "Thanks. Very helpful and insightful. I'll put the book on my reading list."
