Thank you for the extended reply, I'm delighted to see your views! I hope having two topics going at once, Biden and gender, isn't too cumbersome.

Can you go on a bit more about what the "Deep State" is, and how it's structured? You seem to almost imply that there's some large, organized, secret group that has ordered the President to engage us in a nuclear war. Did I read that right? I've heard about the "deep state" theory, but have never seen anything that actually describes it in enough detail to be investigable.

As for gender dysphoria, I find this entire obsession with other people's genitals and sex life distasteful and pointless. As anyone who's taken an elementary psychology class knows, perceptions of gender are no more binary than any other physical characteristic; "maleness" characteristics blend smoothly into "female" characteristics along all indices. I've also studied enough neurology to know that perceived gender is influenced by observable changes in deep brain structures, most notably in the area around the optic chiasm, implying interrelations between brain nuclei of almost infinite complexity. Of course, given it's neurological and developmental origin, internal perceptions of gender would be almost completely idiosyncratic, despite the fact that most individuals tend to group around the bimodal means, male and female.

Nonetheless, our dominant cultural view is that gender is restricted to Option A or Option B.

As I've gotten older and have slowly lost many of the most enjoyable markers of gender, I've come to the view that much of gender dysphoria comes from the internalized lie that gender is a binary characteristic. Instead of just concentrating on having optimizing what they have, gender dysphoria sufferers get stuck longing what they don't. But, why can't "women" have penises? What stone tablet from God says that? Why can't "men" have breasts and wear flamboyant clothing?

And I apologize outright for this very reductive take on the struggle of people who's sexuality and gender identification are outside of what they "should" experience. As I said, I'm an old guy who is grateful for the body parts that still work, and am astonished when I see someone pay to have parts that do work removed.

But in the end, absent concerns about capacity and consent, I don't see any justification for the government or anyone to get involved in, or even make comment about, anyone's private sexual life.
