However, the assumption that Poland would be accepting (or Ukraine would be allowing) people if/when things get hotter is an uncertain one. Say if Poland goes through with attempted coup attempt in Belarus (sponsoring Belarus fascists aka 'democratic protesters') and Belarus/Russia/Wagner moves down and shuts down the Poland/Ukraine border (takes it under protection to help civilians, whatever) what would your friends wife then do? Dont assume you would be able to cross the border as you are able now. We have refugees here (USA) and they are pulling their parents out (who fight tooth and nail against that). unless you are paralyzed on hospital bed, moving would be a choice I strongly consider..
