Agree on all points you made just above. In fact, I have not seen any non-negligible points of disagreement from the get go. I think my wording may be at fault. To summarize (so you can tell me where we are poles apart): A. I think that the Republicans are an existential threat to America. B. I think this is especially true at state level now that Trump has been defeated, because so many more states have Republican dominated governments. The potential exists for a wide-ranging, imitative series of poisonous initiatives. C. I am very pleased with the Biden-Harris-Cabinet team’s progress, style, and, may I say, quietly formidable attitude. D. I think the federal Republicans are hopelessly divided, corrupt through and through, and bereft of ideas. They’ll do more damage to themselves going ahead if just left alone. And, no I don’t think there’s any chance of Trump returning. His ship has sailed. E. Fox et al are more of an annoyance at this point. Because they don’t have access to power and they’ve been given nothing of substance to inveigh against by the Democratic government, they are flailing away at more and more ludicrous totems. They won’t go away, but for the time being anyway, they’ll hang around in the same sort of way that mosquitoes do. I think their chances of doing damage are great, but it will be self-inflicted damage. F. The White/Black problem is perennial. Any incident has the potential for grave consequences. That is why I want somebody to enforce transparency in the North Carolina killing. Sheriffs in small areas like that have enormous power - witness the bullying tone shown yesterday. Any escalation of Black protest to Black violence could have catastrophic consequences.

Sorry to go on at length here.
