Sharon, It was as though you came to me as a nurse and saw beyond a symptom. A deep desire of mine, which will not be fulfilled, would be to spend time with people in the different parts of the south and mid-west, rural and urban. Although we see horrible scenes going on in front schools and on the streets, it would be so much better to get a sense for myself. My work as an associate producer and producer of news and public affairs programming took me around NYC and parts of the country. The pandemic and the limits of age prevent me from doing so. Uncertainty rises at such a distance and with so little sense of many millions of Americans. 'You can't always get what you want' and I have not given up. Thank you for standing with me, Sharon.
