I used to know a senior UK gov bod who told me it came from US academia. I think the US powers that be since amplified it to manipulate corporate and govt bodies by creating new debates (transgender toilets in schools?) that they could use to fund participants through NGOs. For example in Czechia only 3 presidential candidates were given media attention and one was relatively new who was there on a progressive/feminist youth vote. The media gave little space for the other 8 or so candidates, as much of the media is DEI and Western controlled. The progressive candidate then withdrew and begged her base to vote for one of the two, who is a NATO general (Petr Pavel) and ex CSSR general. The NATO general won and is now all but out of media spotlight quietly signing deals such as expanding US military in Czechia. Similar attempts made on Georgia, Slovakia but with less success ( and hence the assassination attempt in SK) You are correct too about Clinton. I have seen 1st hand how Clinton Foundation funded woke actors eviscerated and took over a medium sized business and used it to direct funds to projects in geopolitically interesting parts of the world.
