It would seem improbably for them to "congeal" after growing so large. A better hypothesis would be that the "coffee grounds" in the blood are the visual beginnings of microscopic self-assembling units created for just this purpose. Now, granted, it could also be true that these fibrous, rubbery growths were not intended to occur, and that rather, they simply were an unsuspected side effect of the LNP's and other non-biological constituents. The concoction COULD have been formulated to target the body's immune system AND at the same time sabotage its reproductive system (for population control).

Personally, I think it was all well-known beforehand and premeditated to kill with only a degree of speculative alibi. We're dealing with a VERY evil cabal here!
