Well I have to disagree with you - you may look at just about every member of the ruling class and see humans of very 'diminished abilities' - that is if you wish to see straight

The recent scandals - Biden, Gates, Epstein, the guy from Apollo - in the US are the tip of the iceberg - this is not, in isolation, the occasional display of a few privileged people 'misbehaving' - this is the general corruption of a class which still enjoys certain protections afforded by the position of money and their ability to exploit and impress the remainder of the population, so that the major filth is still hidden

And that's just the personal filth, no point in going through the exploitations and the killings
