When my mother was alive, she couldn’t stop talking about it, even when I was 45 years old. She’d tell everyone either of us knew that I used to be a model. I cringed every single time. I didn’t think it was a big deal, and the whole thing embarrassed me. My mom couldn’t understand why I didn’t tell everyone.
