Went to a start-up classical school for 4th through 6th grade — it felt like most of what we did was read and write and research, so I was IN HEAVEN.
*My favorite papers from that time, absolute bangers I was proud of:
a literary analysis of The Scarlett Letter
a persuasive essay on the immorality of human cloning (turns out this wasn’t our most widespread or pressing issue in the world of reproductive ethics, but I was on that train in elementary school - is anyone surprised)
The only thing I was any good at in school was writing. That’s probably why I like Substack so much.
