US resident, well educated (one of my degrees is History, otherwise STEM), refuse to toe the government line. I'm still convinced that the only reason Israel gets the support they do is that the US public is not under threat. Change that, and the support for Israel will flush down the drain. It's not monolithic and the Jewish residents of the US know this - just ask them or read all the fear-tinged articles.
