In 2024, when I first launched my travel newsletter with a focus on “quiet, slow travel,” the words had barely made a ripple on SEO, but outlets like CNBC deem it mainstream today.

In early 2025, I pointed out increased interest in hobby-related trips like reading retreats, only for that to become a trending theme in travel.

Last fall, I wrote about my father’s film camera and how it enables me to stay grounded and off my phone—and wouldn’t you know it, “analog” travel is in for this year.

Honoring my favorite kind of travel has felt authentic, and I’m glad it’s resonating with others, too. And I’m just getting started.
