Every little bit counts. Your card might be the one that swings a legislator's position. Really, though, legislators don't read emails, cards or letters. But their staffs keep a daily count of them, pro and con, on issues and look at those numbers.
Where the postal cards really have an impact is on the voters. Of the 100, or whatever number, you send, a few will get someone to vote who might not do so otherwise, and that is pure gold, particularly in close races.
