Like Becky, I thank you for expressing your position so well. Unlike Becky, I'm not at the point where I'm ready to adopt your position.

In any decision, there are options and criteria. In this decision, there are two options and one criterion. The two options are for Biden to stay on and for Biden to resign, and the one criterion is defeating the MAGA movement. From there it gets complicated.

I'll accept your reasons in favor of Biden resigning, but can you say with absolute certainty that the odds of MAGA being defeated will improve and not get worse? If not, then you need to understand the other side of the equation.

I'm no expert, so don't ask for my analysis. But I do know someone who is in such a position, and who did the analysis. After watching the editorial I'll reference below, I was convinced that Democrats have no choice but to support the Biden-Harris ticket. I acknowledge it's dated, but I've yet to hear anyone advocating for Biden's resignation come close to addressing the issues raised in the editorial.

My interpretation? That, to me, is the "tell" that tells me they're starting with a prejudicial conclusion, looking for evidence and logic to support that conclusion, and ignoring any conflicting evidence and logic. Note that I just described the MAGA thought pattern.

If that doesn't work, do a YouTube search for "Lawrence on what they don’t tell you about the Dump Biden fantasy."

My advice is to watch it to the end.
