Age takes a toll, but is so much harder on some than others. That, and some are wise beyond their years and others never grow up. There I will make a distinction mother taught me very long ago between (her words) "child-like" and "childish". The "child-like" qualities are those that I believe the wise fight to retain till the day they die, humility, wonderment, open-heartedness, authenticity. The "childish" traits are personified by Trump.
