I believe I read that this gain of function crap was going on long before 2019. But I am also of the belief that there is ZERO hard evidence this particle, (whether or not it had ever been isolated) is actually the CAUSE of any disease. The spike protein, (delivery system for the so-called virus) appears to cause problems. And this is WHY they loaded the syringes with the spikes. We still have ZERO evidence that the virus (payload) causes anything bad.

ALL of this hype was intended for ONE purpose, to drive people to the needle out of FEAR. And now, the evidence that their injections DO cause disease, could not be any more OBVIOUS;-)
