Mary Pat My cousin (a Quaker) was in the Marine 1st Division that invaded Guadalcanal. Evidently, the fight to take and keep an airport open was nip and tuck. Tom and I crossed paths on Pearl Harbor & Midway (on which I gave COMINT and documentary based professional presentations). On Vietnam, his account on what happened at Tonkin Gulf matches my own research, though he had a buddy who was involved on that night of ‘shooting fish.’
