This is appropriation. (I'm not upset about it because I don't think gender dysphoria is even a real condition- aparently ya'lk now just use it as a synobym for 'discomfort."
But every single word and concept that this current culture (woke Leftism I guess you could call it, but with post-modernism turned up to a 18 on a dial that only goes up to 10l gets their hands on gets stretched, abused, exploited and appropriated to the point where it doesn't mean anything any more. This is what people did to: gaslighting, narcissism, queer, racism/racist, transphobia/ic, every other -ism/-ist/-ic.. even "man" and "woman," even "gay" and "lesbian" since females are claiming to be gay men, and males (usually straight male autogynophiles in their 30s+) claim to be lesbians... This is the destruction of objective reality.
When gender dysphoria is something everyone experiences, it is no longer something trans people can use to justify demanding the incredible amount of accomodations that the world is being bullied into providing, nor to justify the experimental hormones and surgeries that medical insurance is required to pay for (since the claim is that it is the only treatment for this condition, even though only 1 in 10 trans-identified males ever have the genital surgery, so apparently gender dysphoria is treatable less invasive procedures that don't leave you at risk for incredible horrifying and life threatening complications and infections (I know a friend of a friend who just had to have a huge fhjnk kf this leg cut out of them because of necrosis form the skin retrieval portion of a phalloplasty).
When "queer" now means anyone or anything that "defies social conventions and binaries," and therefore includes straight people (even if they call themselves nonbinary, they are still a heterosexual female who only dated males), and anyone who has purple or pink hair, then it's no longer a word that refers to gay men, lesbians, bisexuals and trans people.
I'm not even convinced gender dysphoria is even being real condition considering it was kinda invented by a group of guys in a committee and added to the DSM in 2013 with absolutely zero medical studies and medical research behind it (unlike everything else in the DSM that modern psychiatry has studied for 150 yrs or so). And everyone who claims to experience it ALWAYS have co-morbidities that fully account for their symptoms-- trauma, abuse, autism, etc .
I think the reason you are trying to change gender dysphoria to include you is because this culture places social value and currency in oppression and victinization. You want to be included in the "gender dysphoria sufferers group," which I totally acknowledge is very fashionable right now. You aren't the first or last to be motivated subconsciously to try or self-elect into this trans/queer trend-- most of these people who have gotten on hormones and/or claimed to be trans or nonbinary (also not a real thing) are also chasing a trend and wanting to be in the in-crowd that so many of our institutions are competing to virtue signal to the world that they ALSO support them in their need to cut off perfectly healthy parts of their body ("and you're a bad, transphobic person and a TERF fascist Nazi if you don't think teenage girls should be allowed to cut off their breasts!")
Right?
