Entertainment doesn't have to be important.

We want our stories to have some sort of political or religious message. We want entertainment to be important and meaningful.

But we forget that the goal of entertainment is to be entertaining. It doesn't have to have some super secret underlying political message. That's propaganda.

When stories prioritize entertainment over importance they become important, but their importance is because they are iconic cultural institutions.

In the In Living Color writers room sketches were often thrown out for being to important or political. The focus was on comedy, not the message.

There's also nothing important about Looney Tunes. It's coyotes chasing roadrunners and hunters hunting rabbits. But now their classic American works. Worthy of high cultural status and art.

Hollywood and Conservative Media are on two completely different spectrums of self importance media. The middle is not being served.

The first people with the investment capital that truly understands this will single handedly disrupt the entire entertainment industry.
