Really? You didn't get this in history class?

The Oregon Constitution barred Black people from living in the State of Oregon.

Now there is some very interesting context here, mainly having to do with the time that Oregon was trying to get Statehood and while exclusion of Chinese was discussed, it was not included...also I have never heard of a case of it being enforced while there are several records of Black people living in the State.
