I do confess that I have now wondered how many people my parents knew were KKK members. My family on both sides were certainly prejudiced, but I can't see any of my immediate family being members. They just reflected the prevailing culture. The book on poverty reads easily and it is full of insights of how the haves and not just the wealthy contribute.
