We arrived in Morro Bay at sunset and stopped at the beach before our rental. Emily wasted no time getting her paws wet. I shared a video directly from the beach with paid subscribers. It’s grand to be back!

Part 2 of “If I were Brett Veach” is live! I wrote about in-house free agents and who I would prioritize if I were Veach.

Trump is pushing forward with his plans to create a "Crypto Strategic Reserve."

No one has bothered to explain why diverting government resources into crypto has ANY STRATEGIC BENEFIT FOR THE UNITED STATES.

The only benefit is for people who are current investors in crypto.

It's a grift.

For now, the Democrats’ calls to “reinvent themselves” are rhetorical than actual. Even if moderates try to shift the conversation away from identity politics or radical positions, it doesn’t make sense that the party base will follow. Even if progressives try to rally the rank and file around a bold economic populism, there is no reason…

The Work of the Democratic Party

I went to a party last week in Trump’s DC. It was exhilarating in a way that made me very uneasy.

Research shows that speaking to strangers has a subtle but significant effect on our happiness. It turns out that the seemingly trivial social encounters — chatting up a person in the elevator, making small talk with the Starbucks barista, or even just smiling at a passerby — can have profound positive changes in your mood.

QUOTES LIKE THIS KILL ISRAELI PROPAGANDA #2

“If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?" - Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion

Addition: To make deleting the next murderous troll easier, I add that the quote is from page 99 of The Jewish Paradox by Nahum Goldmann 408.us.archive.org/32/i… . Goldmann was one of the founders of Zionism, was president of the World Zionist Organisation for 12 years, and had a personal relationship with Gurion.

This is lazy propaganda masquerading as history. The quote’s authenticity is dubious, the context is erased, and it reduces a century of complex conflict to a cartoonish land theft story. Serious analysis requires more than recycling viral fragments to score easy points. You can do better, mate.

Israel can do better.

Not disagreeing on that. No country is perfect.

Going back to the quote, I have seen it before and I am aware that its authenticity of this quote is highly contested. While versions of it appear in various works, it’s often circulated without proper context or reliable sourcing. Ben-Gurion’s actual positions and public statements were much more complex, oscillating between pragmatic realpolitik, Zionist nationalism, and his belief in the necessity of Jewish-Arab coexistence. Using a quote of mu…

  1. When you refer to what Israel is doing as “No country is perfect,” you give yourself away as a Zionist troll. And a visit to your substack confirms it. Trolling for murder must be your ‘calling’. Nevertheless…

  2. The quote is from page 99 of The Jewish Paradox by Nahum Goldmann 408.us.archive.org/32/i… . Goldmann, as you’re aware, is one of the founders of Zionism, was president of the World Zionist organisation for 12 years, and had a personal relationship with Gurion.

  3. Bye bye.

All of Trump supporters' reasons for supporting Trump are invalidated by his positions on Israel.

"He puts America first" he puts Israel first.

"He's making peace" he's assisting Israel's mass murder and tyranny.

"He supports free speech" but not speech which criticizes Israel.

Whenever all you vapid, stupid, useless Democrats are done with your days and days of screaming and crying about Trump hurting Saint Zelensky's feelings it'd be cool if you could throw a little opposition against the actual bad things Trump is doing in Gaza, please and thank you.
