Comparing the Democratic Party to a race doesn’t make sense. A party is precisely something we have control over joining, a race is not. People, especially Democrats, would have absolutely no problem blaming a corporation for what it did in its past. And Democrats have absolutely no problem blaming “America” for what it did in its past, particularly slavery. While America was split about slavery during the civil war, the Democratic Party was very united—specifically in its desire to continue it.

Democrats are currently “investigating” reparations for slavery, yet they will undoubtedly not find guilt or responsibility in their own party. That is repulsive. They will instead find a means, if they do anything, to push the guilt and responsibility onto innocent people to pay for those reparations. The Democratic Party should be the first to pay reparations for slavery and racial terrorism, if anyone does. And out of their own wealth, which derives from slavery and racial terrorism, not from the wealth of the random tax payer who could be a first generation immigrant from India.

If a Democrat supports using tax payer money to pay for reparations but doesn’t support the Democratic Party directly paying reparations, they are essentially slave apologists.
