no one misses this, they just don't think it's the point. Reasonable people understand we each have biases and lenses that frame our worldview, but the point of objectivity and rigor isn't the "who" but the "how". We choose to externally validate our reasoning and make it available for others to investigate and correct the errors. Presumably, people with different biases and lenses are equally motivated by those biases to root out the conflicts and errors. Hopefully, what's left in the end is the good data that stands beyond the individuals who collected it.
