Make money doing the work you believe in

AI throws more noise at us in a day than anyone can process in a week. New model, new benchmark, new take, new thing to panic about. And I've become convinced the antidote isn't more AI content (as I made clear earlier this week). It's the opposite. It's sitting with a book long enough that it actually rewires how you think.

Reading well is becoming a real competitive advantage. The people who can tell signal from noise aren't the ones inhaling the most hot takes. They're the ones who built a foundation somewhere focused and read a lot to do it.

So I pulled together the five books that have kept me most grounded as the field moves. Funny thing: not one of them is about AI.

What are you reading right now that keeps you grounded but isn't about AI? That's the corner of the shelf I'm always most curious about.
