It is often underestimated what a Man, due to age or suspected health conditions, can achieve when He applies Himself to accomplish great feats in the amount of time He perceives to have left. It reminds me of the Battle of Osowiec Fortress, where the Russian forces, knowing themselves to be Dead Men Walking after being gassed by the Germans, made an incredible forward attack against the German forces in what would have otherwise been seen as a military reckless maneuver if one thought to return home alive. This is the problem for an enemy force, those they attempted to take under often accomplish more now in the time before they eventually fall than if you had not arisen to strike against them. It is often in these hours, that wars are won and lost, and that Men find the real reason for which they were sent into the world.
