Thanks much Cheetos for your very kind words. Mad respect back at you. When our son started his tech education, some of our friends insinuated that it was child abuse to send the lad to tech school rather than a four year college where he could major in beer, pot and skirt chasing. All fine enterprises for sure, but just not on my dime. I actually thought that this son was way too smart to malinger in college. There had to be a better way. To this day he thanks me and expresses eternal gratitude that I counseled him in this direction. He works his ass off but it is high powered, intellectually stimulating and remunerative work.

I recently tried to count the number of people I know who were ever even obliquely connected to manufacturing or industrial anything. I came up with about a half dozen names. When I was 16 y/o my mates and I worked in a food factory, punching in at 4:30 AM and missing the first hour of study hall at school. Still managed to play football after school and pull down respectable grades. My parents were quite comfortable financially but being from the Depression era and going through the grind of WW2 they never forgot the lack of basic necessities in their past. Their conservatism rubbed off on me re money handling. My parents could've kept me off the factory floor at that tender age but looking back, it was character building. Hope all is sweet in your world Cheetos!
