This entire thread is very emotionally charged, but that was, in my opinion, a scosche too far. I probably would have disliked a comment about wearing robes, but lynching is not to be taken lightly …[And I recognize and agree that any support of the KKK, in any form no matter how small, is indefensible. I only make a distinction here about a charge of a person being capable of taking part in a lynching. What we say does matter.]
I have liked Brooks as a person and been enraged by things he writes. I have to rethink my opinion on light of the Thomas comments, but I’ll go and read about them further. Information and confirmation of information is important.
