The problem with Social Security isn't "fraud."
The problem with Social Security is that as the rich have gotten richer, more of their income has escaped the cap on the SS payroll tax.
In fact, millionaires stop paying SS taxes today.
We can fix this by scrapping the cap.

I realized I was stuck in a loop 🔁 waking up, opening Substack, checking that my scheduled newsletter was delivered, posting a note, maybe reading a note, engaging with commenters… then repeating it all the next day.
Well, today I broke the cycle! I opened Substack and visited each of my subscribers and those I subscribe to. I liked, I commented, and some posts I can’t wait to read again. From now on, I’ll be engaging with intention.
As we said in the 80s, the real problem with inflation is that eventually someone will do something stupid to ends it.
Especially pushing the economy into recession.
