It’s just an odd story though, because what’s meant to be the complaint? That Tablet went with Stein instead of some 27-year-old Brooklyn-dwelling freelancer who feels entitled to be executive editor of something well-compensated but has to settle for knowing he has righteous politics? That Stein isn’t sufficiently committed to the Palestinian cause as to save his comeback (remember that this all happened in 2017) for when a more left-wing publication came a’knockin’? Which was, let’s be realistic, never going to happen.
