Make money doing the work you believe in

Most people open a book at page one and begin reading.

That’s good if you are reading for entertainment.

But if you really want to remember and work with the material, here’s a better approach:

  • Scan the table of contents

  • Read the intro and conclusion

  • Look at headings and subheadings

  • Skim any diagrams or summaries

You’re basically telling your brain:

“This is the map. Details come later.”

You are creating a structure.

Now when you read, new ideas have a place to land.
