My dad called me this afternoon to tell me that the field between our houses was covered with robins, that it wasn’t just one robin that arrived as a sign of spring but a whole field full.

The problem with Social Security is that as the rich have gotten richer, more of their income has escaped the cap on the SS payroll tax.
In fact, millionaires stop paying SS taxes today.

This is the craziest thing I have ever written. Many indicators are coming in that Trump fully intends to invade Greenland and Canada. “Annex” is just a nice word for killing Canadians/Greenlanders and seizing land we do not own for Elon Musk’s technologist dictatorship. My question:
1. Why is Trump giving unnegotiated concessions to Putin, our enemy, a dictator, a war criminal who wants to destroy the United States and our democracy?
2. Why does Trump want to make our country WEAK and vulnerable by:
a. Firing qualified, experienced federal employees and replacing them with unqualified, inexperienced people;
b. ILLEGALLY cutting/dismantling our agencies that would help the American people (will we be getting Ebola next? Will we ever get flu shots, Covid vaccines, S…
I see no other answer to all those questions than "he has been a Russian asset for a long time."
But also - he quite likes how the Russian oligarchs made their money, by strip-mining their country's public goods, which is why he and his billionaires are doing the same thing to the USA.
I was not alone among bankers in N.Y.C. who surmised that dirty money looted from the erstwhile U.S.S.R. financed Trump's 'come-back' a generation ago. UGGGly.🤬
This proposed minerals agreement smells like the same predatory looting as Russia (by keeping the land stolen to date) and Trump carve up Ukraine like a Christmas turkey.😢
Hopefully, Europe and other democracies will be able to marshal the martial strength to prevent Ukraine from being relegated to a carcass with Russia and (my G-D) our belovèd America looking on as salivating jackals. 🤢
I think the real resistance will come when our DISRESPECTED, FIRED VETERANS from red and blue states, marshal their numbers, to organize the citizens of this country to effectively stop the betrayal of this administration. WE know the TRUTH behind this scourge( history has shown us). We the people must do the work, but we need the right kind of help, because our politicians can't.
