Unfortunately, many “Christians” today either do not know, due to denominational suppression, or do not want to know, due to preferential ignorance, about a unique prophetic event destined to occur in our immediate future.

The pre-70th Week Rapture (Greek: harpazō) of the Church is not only near in its proximity but absolute in its certainty. It is absolute because both Jesus (John 14:1-3; Revelation 3:3, 3:10) and Paul (“by the word of the Lord,” 1 Thessalonians 4; 1 Corinthians 15) plainly state that it will happen.

There is zero ambiguity on this point.

The Rapture is not just some random, inconsequential event. It is the event that ends this present age and inaugurates the long-prophesied Day of the Lord.

The Rapture is also, for all intents and purposes, the multimillennial reunion of the ages. The first time the trump of God sounded, it gathered the nation of Israel for the first time at the foot of Mount Sinai. God came down, and Moses went up.

The last trump of God will gather the born-again believers of the last two thousand years as a royal priesthood. Jesus comes down, though not to the earth yet, as we, the body of Christ, are changed from mortal to immortal and go up to meet our Savior in the air. We will be with Him wherever He is forevermore.

Since God made these arrangements before creation began (Ephesians 1:4; 2:4-7), and because His will is sovereign, it is not a matter of if this will happen, but when. Although the Rapture does not require a sign, the infrastructure for the events that happen after it are maturing at a frightening pace. This is how we know we are in the season of His return.

So if you are truly born again, you are going up in the Rapture irrespective of your eschatological beliefs. In my fallen humanity, my wish would be that everyone is raptured according to their beliefs, but I am not God.

So do not be the man in the image. We are not to love the world, nor the things therein. The world is passing away, along with its lusts, but he who does the will of God abides forever (1 John 2:17).
