Amazon released an AI-powered audio feature that generates short spoken product summaries on select product detail pages.
The system uses large language models to analyze product information, customer reviews, and web data, then creates conversational audio scripts where AI hosts discuss key features and benefits.
Users tap "Hear the highlights" in the Amazon Shopping app to listen to these summaries - typically 2-3 minute audio conversations highlighting purchase-relevant details. The feature includes an interactive "Join the chat" capability where customers can ask follow-up questions via text or voice, and AI hosts answer in real-time without interrupting the summary flow.
I know Rufus has been a success so far based on text Q&A but I’m curious to see if the average user also wants audio.
If so, it could mark the start of voice across pricing pages in other verticals like SaaS.
