The families should be kept together. Unless the parents committed crimes and endangered their children. My husband’s niece, whose kids we ended up adopting. The birth father was an illegal from Mexico. What a mess. He beat up the mother on a regular basis, forced her into prostitution to support her crack addiction. Finally she called the police and they arrested him for the 3rd time, the other 2 arrests the wife dropped the charges. She eventually abandoned the kids- 1 ½ & 2 ½ . She turned up…
