This technology has been walking down the regulatory path(s) for many years in various forms and was getting closer and closer to proof of principle with randomized controlled trials…then the pandemic hit and everything changed. The infection fatality rate was waaay overestimated, and everyone panicked. Therefore, this technology got fast-tracked and accelerated to the point where standard regulatory precautions and safeguards were cut short or cut out altogether. I mostly blame regulatory agencies.
