In Florida, for 2020 and 2022, the all-ages excess deaths were in the 15% range. In 2021 it was more than ten percent higher, a bit more than 26%. That of itself doesn't prove anything, but it does prove beyond all reasonable doubt that something was especially lethal in 2021.
