One way that I have understood this form of Antiracism and all its contradictions is to see that the fundamental goal is to induce in White people the experience of what Black people went through during an earlier period in our history, e.g., being told not to speak, being double-binded with conflicting messages, given messages of badness based on essentialist qualities that cannot be changed - in this case, skin color. It is not about solving a problem - it is about inducing suffering.
