Today I sold some copies of my self-pubbed books wholesale to a local indie bookstore, signed with my favorite pen, cash in my wallet, and all I could think about was that the future of publishing “success” might look like this, like today: intimate and bespoke, handshake and a smile. Human to human. Trust to trust.
